Cara Arendse - Kudos for 'yes' vote - June 6, 2007 - Courier-Times
"Their decision will benefit the health of Skagit County residents for generations to come." How many assembly line letters like this one are going to be cranked out?
Harold Clure, MD - Science finally wins out over fear - June 8, 2007 - Skagit Valley Herald
If the Letters to the Editor was a court of law, Hal Clure would be indicted for perjury. Going back two years, not one pro-fluoride letter referenced a single scientific study. Countless ones did make use of meaningless endorsements, however. By Comparison, the focus of one anti-fluoride letter after another cited peer-reviewed research, such as the National Research Council's "Fluoride in Drinking Water: A Scientific Review of EPA's Standards." The only evident fear ever displayed was on the part of the pro-fluoride crowd, which scattered like cockroaches should anyone challenge them to an honest debate!
