Al Peraino - Letter shouldn't have been printed - June 27, 2007 - Skagit Valley Herald
"I read the gender swipe provided by Jean in her undocumented litany on fluoridation. There is no references to any works of science to support her statements, so, of course, it is of no value to the community." What gender swipe? Someone send Al the link to this site so he can see that it is the pro-fluoride letters that contain not one reference in two years to a single scientific study. At least he did not use the words "safe and effective."

January 5, 2008 - Skagit Valley Herald - Fluoride meeting postponed

Weyrich Letter to AGO & Res #20070284
The meeting was expected to be highly attended by community members on both sides of the fluoride issue. The pro-fluoride group Citizens for a Healthy Skagit had sent out an e-mail to its supporters to encourage their attendance. And the anti-fluoride group, Skagit Clean Water, also was looking forward to the meeting, group treasurer Don Johnson said.

In anticipation of McKenna's formal opinion, both sides are speculating they'll come out the winner. Citizens for a Healthy Skagit President Harold Clure said his group's attorney predicted the response will be "favorable" to their fluoridation cause. But Johnson said the opinion will rule "that the county commission has no authority to push around another county entity."
